2000 - the origins
In February, 2000 Hot Diamonds sterling silver and diamond jewelry launched at the Birmingham Spring Fair for independent jewelers. The brand was an instant success. It broke with tradition by creating a new diamond jewelry collection in sterling silver, packaged in luxury wooden boxes, and marketed to all.
2001 - award winner
Within a year of its launch, Hot Diamonds won the prestigious UK jewelry of the Year Award (a feat it nearly repeated in 2002, when it was runner-up to Gucci) and was quickly recognized by the nations leading jewelry trade publication, Retail Jeweler as "The number one best-selling brand of jewelry in the UK" and the "Brand that most exceeds expectations."
2002 - the American connection
By late 2002, Hot Diamonds was well on its way to becoming the UKs favorite jewelry brand and had launched a collection for men: Hot Diamonds Man. In October of 2002, Prismax became the US distributor for the Hot Diamonds brand. Starting with only 3 employees during the holiday shopping season of 2002, the brand took the US by storm.
2003 - industry leader
Through aggressive marketing efforts by Prismax, the Hot Diamonds brand carved out a sizable niche in the jewelry industry, reaching sales of nearly $5 million in 2003. Hot Diamonds was now receiving acclaim in America where the companys retail accounts had increased to over 1,500 strong. To top off the year, the brand won the UK jewelry of the Year Award yet again.
2004 - hitting our stride
In 2004 sales increased sharply worldwide. Historic Originals launched its Hot Diamonds TIMEPIECES collection based on the same principal of making luxury goods affordable to a greater audience. The collection of 25 watches captured the UK market, rocketing to top-seller status in its price category. Meanwhile, US sales grew nearly 90% and after being on the American market for only 18 months, the brand was named "one of the industrys three top-turning brands" by JCK Magazine, equal to David Yurman and runner-up only to Rolex. By the end of the year the Hot Diamonds brand had attracted more than 2,200 independent retail partners in the US and won product placement in ten major airlines duty free offerings.
2005 - time to sparkle
Prismax succesfully launched Hot Diamonds Simply Sparkle, a stunning collection featuring clusters of diamonds in rounded high-polished sterling silver. 2005 was marked by an increased presence in the travel retail market, as well as greater consumer awareness through our pink ribbon breast cancer awareness campaign, television apperances on both the Tony Danza Show and The Price Is Right.
2006 - the flow goes on
The 2006 Hot Diamonds Collections catalog boasts dozens of new items and two new collections, Go With the Flow and Moments. Additionally, we have added new offerings in Just Add Love, Men's and the core range - Cool Just Got Hot. Beaufitul new model imagery was also introduced for 2006. We have fine tuned our technology to allow our Retail Partners online access to order merchandise, customize print materials, and download ad slicks and imagery. HotDiamonds.
